Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

• Administer respiratory treatments and therapeutic interventions (e.g., oxygen therapy, nebulizers, CPT, suctioning) in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care settings

• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, interpretation, and ventilator adjustments based on results

• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation in high-acuity units such as NICU, PICU, MICU, and ER

• Respond to code blue, rapid response, and emergency resuscitation events across hospital departments

• Conduct airway management, including intubation assistance, extubation preparation, and tracheostomy care

• Monitor and document patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with physicians

• Provide support during high-risk deliveries and neonatal stabilization under NRP guidelines

• Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment and therapy plans

• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols while maintaining proper documentation in EMR systems

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, physicians, and respiratory managers, to provide coordinated care

Skills:

• 2 Years experience in NICU/PICU/MICU/ER

Certifications:

• RRT with NBRC - required
• NYSED license - required
• BLS - required
• ACLS - required
• PALS - required
• NRP - required
• RFPT preferred
