Role Summary

The General Superintendent develops and executes project plans, overseeing all aspects of complex projects, managing teams, planning construction sequencing, and meeting project goals, aligned with JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities - Core
  • Lead safety culture, investigate incidents, and promote an injury-free environment.
  • Manage subcontractors, staff, and project workflow.
  • Oversee safety, quality, EEOC programs, and project documentation.
  • Create work and project schedules, monitor budgets, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Participate in project meetings and support project closeouts.
  • Recruit top talent and promote diversity and inclusion.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage large, complex projects from planning to completion.
  • Lead multiple projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop training content and deliver leadership messages.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and construction technology.
  • Deep knowledge of construction processes, trades, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and team collaboration.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years construction experience, including 10+ years in field supervision.
  • Experience managing large projects, especially in aviation (required).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
