PRICE ELECTRIC is looking for reliable, team-oriented Electricians-in-Training/Electrical Apprentices with combined post-high school electrical training and experience of three or more years for our traveling workforce. This group of skilled electricians travel from site to site for job assignments which generally last a month to over a year.
This traveling apprentice would likely get assigned to an Industrial job in Virginia to start. Recent past jobs include hydro-electric dams, wastewater treatment facilities, steel mills, food production plants and agriculture facilities.

Under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician and/or Frontline Supervisor, a Traveling Electrical Apprentice/Electrician-in-Training works side by side with field operations personnel to assist with layout, installation, alteration and repair of electrical wiring, apparatus and equipment in Heavy Commercial and Industrial settings.
Complying with all safety requirements and processes, Electrical Apprentices/Electricians-in-Training help the team meet high production and quality standards. This takes proven reliability; expected technical skills for the apprenticeship level (e.g., reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, troubleshooting, material and tool proficiency, independent performance of mastered tasks); strong work ethic; close attention to details; continuous learning and adapting; effective communication and interaction skills; good time management and organization; ability to read, learn and understand Electrical Code and local codes; and a high school diploma or GED to be considered for the registered apprenticeship program.
Physical demands include, but are not limited to, the ability to work 40 or more hours per week; frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 80 lbs.; occasional lifting from floor to above shoulder; continuous standing, walking and/or climbing; regular squatting, kneeling and sitting; repetitive use of hands for frequent grasping, pushing and pulling and fine motor coordination; repetitive use of feet for operating equipment, conduit benders and vertical climbing; adequate balance for frequent climbing; and adequate vision for blueprint reading and coding to identify wire.
Since the job requires travel to and from job sites where work is typically performed, a reliable source of transportation is needed. Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varied weather conditions.
