Position Summary As a Traveling Dental Assistant, you will be essential in supporting the clinical needs of our patients and doctors. Your role is critical for maintaining the smooth operation of our dental offices. Responsibilities will include patient care, recordkeeping, and appointment scheduling. You will work under the supervision of dentists and collaborate closely with dental hygienists in their daily activities.

Key Locations: Dental Health Associates of North Brunswick, Quality Dental Care - Vineland, Brighter Dental - Delran, Dental Health Associates of Phillipsburg, Millville Family Dental PA, Brighter Dental- Princeton.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists chairside by demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of dental instruments.
  • Maintain inventory control in treatment areas utilized by the provider.
  • Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines at all times.
  • Provide excellent patient interactions, scheduling follow-up treatments, and delivering post-surgical information.
  • Perform basic lab procedures, such as taking impressions and preparing cases for external labs.
  • Ensure public areas are clean and presentable.
  • Complete additional related tasks as directed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • X-ray License required.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems.
  • Licenses required for the state in which you will work, including Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willingness to pursue licensure immediately.
  • Preferred: 1+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the capacity to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Familiarity with dental instruments and patient care.
    • Strong communication skills to convey medical information clearly.
    • Excellent organization, prioritization, follow-up, analytical, and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Active CPR Certification required.

Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment Physical demands are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform essential functions successfully.
