Job Description :
The Travel Team Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Division Manager and senior leadership in the successful operation and growth of the division and company in all operational aspects of the project.As an Assistant Project Manager you must be willing to travel up to 100% ofthe time, with an average of three weeks on the road and one long weekend home with per diem, meals and lodging provided. All employees must be able to pass a background test and drug screening.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Provide day-to-day leadership and management of field supervision, andoffice/administration.* Understand current status of all projects at any point in time and overseeproject schedule.* Ensure that all projects meet schedule, company quality standards, andstandard operating procedures.* Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability,cash flow and business goals and objectives.* Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.* Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internaland external. Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operatingcondition of the project.* Collaborate with all members of the team to develop and implement plans forthe operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designedto accommodate objectives of the project.* Motivate and lead a high-performance team; attract, recruit, and retain requiredmembers of the team; provide mentoring and management with a careerdevelopment focus.* Promote a success-oriented, accountable environment within the project.* Foster a project working environment that places the highest value on safety,ensuring policy is documented, communicated, and implemented.* Communicate effectively with senior leadership and clients, changes in thecurrent project status, schedule, and other project milestones.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES* Ability to quickly adapt to changes in strategy and can work in a high pacedenvironment without administrative support.* Leverages a deep understanding of the project to make decisions.* Highly detail oriented and organized in work.* Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolutionskills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.* Creates and inspires trust and openness amongst colleagues and clients.* Capable of rapidly building strong, effective and trusted relationships andnetworks.* Highly motivated, energizing and inspiring others to seek higher levels ofperformance.* Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employeesand management.* Strong influencing and communication skills.* Comfortable 'owning' the details and driving execution as well as mapping outbroader talent strategies.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence andarticulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messagesaccordingly.* Understanding of building materials and recycled materials value.* Strong ability to use technology including scheduling, takeoff, and estimatingsoftware.QUALIFICATIONS* Experience in construction / demolition environments (preferred)* Education - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or BuildingScience (preferred)* Has proven set of skills and a breadth of knowledge that are of value to thebusiness.* Takes a big picture perspective regarding the Company's priorities and goals.* Previous front line business operations or leadership experience.* Bachelor's degree (required)COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSWe take pride in our work and expect the same from those who join our team.
