Job Description: Ultrasound / Sono Tech - Echocardiogram

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Contract: 13 Weeks

Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Weekly Breakdown:

Weekly Gross: $ 3,423.00 Per Week

On W2(Taxable): $ 1,120.00 Per Week

Stipend(Non-Taxable): $ 2,303.00 Per Week

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound / Sono Tech specializing in Echocardiography to join our Cardiovascular Services team at NYP Queens Medical Group. This 13-week contract position requires a candidate who is patient-oriented, has effective communication skills, and is proficient with echo procedures and related technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform adult echocardiograms using CX50 and Phillips Affinity echo machines across multiple locations within the NYP Queens Medical Group.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment efficiently and ensure high-quality imaging for cardiovascular assessments.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures while adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Document and input examination results accurately into electronic health records (EHR), specifically EPIC.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Adhere to quality and compliance standards per JC QM019.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of an approved Echocardiogram Training Program.
  • ARDMS registered in Adult Echo (RCDS) or CCI (RCS) certification mandatory.
  • Experience with CX50 and Phillips Affinity echo machines strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with computers, EHR, and EPIC system.
  • Excellent patient care skills and communication abilities.
  • Ability to travel between multiple NYP Queens Medical Group locations as needed.
