Job Description & Requirements**Job Title: Outpatient Echocardiographer** **Shift:** Day, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM **Contract Duration:** 13 weeks (5x8 schedule) **Guaranteed Hours:** 40.00 **Job Description:** We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Echocardiographer to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality cardiology services are delivered in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner to both inpatients and outpatients. This role is crucial for providing essential services that affect patient care while upholding our commitment to quality and reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform cardiac ultrasound exams including 2D, M-mode, Doppler color, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), and stress echocardiograms. - Interpret echocardiographic exams for preliminary reporting to identify any critically abnormal findings, promptly reporting these to the supervising physician. - Clean and disinfect TEE probes in adherence to infection control standards. - Accurately record and report results of all procedures. - Respond to requests for 'stat/emergency echocardiograms' during designated hours. - Maintain accurate and detailed records in line with service delivery standards. - Comply with all operational policies and perform additional duties as assigned. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Attention to detail and strong collaboration abilities. - Ongoing commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Initiative and sound judgment critical for problem-solving. - Proven technical expertise in cardiac sonography. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - N/A **Education Requirements:** - Required: High School Diploma or GED. - Preferred: Associate's degree from a recognized cardiac ultrasonography program. **Certifications & Licensure:** - Required: RDMS Certification from ARDMS or RCS from CCI, along with a BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross). - Preferred: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from CCI. **Benefits:** At ARMStaffing we take care of our nurses!
