- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Job Details
- Attends the surgeon and surgical team peri-operatively to provide for optimum peri-operative experience.
- Knowledge of anatomy, instrumentation, patient safety and sterile technique.
- Job Requirements
- Competency in Otorhinolaryngology, General/Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiovascular specialties.
- Knowledge of principles of aseptic technique; orientation of surgical procedures; preparation, operation and care of equipment and machines.
- Understands patient and staff safety recommendations.
- Capable of rapid accurate reactions; concern for quality patient care; communicates and works effectively with various levels of personnel.
- Ability to stand and walk major portion of work schedule; moderate to heavy lifting required.
- Exposure to cuts, burns, infection, biohazardous chemicals and x-ray.
