Role Overview

A Surgical Technologist (CST) supports surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists in the operating room by:

• Handing necessary instruments to the surgeon to facilitate efficient surgery.
• Anticipating the surgeon's needs to minimize delays.
• Monitoring equipment related to vital signs observation.
• Setting up and maintaining the surgical field in collaboration with nurses and doctors.
• Assembling, transporting, and retrieving surgical equipment, ensuring all items are accounted for post-surgery.
• Preparing and maintaining surgical supplies, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc.
• Inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment, while keeping accurate inventory records.
• Providing pre- and post-surgery patient care, including shaving, transporting, and applying dressings.

• Certifications (must be attached to submission):
  • NBSTSA Certification
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in general surgery.
  • Preferred experience: DaVinci, Ortho, robotic knee replacement, trauma, and neuro.
• Shift Details:
  • Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
  • On-call requirement: One day per week and one weekend per month.
