Position Overview:HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel assignment in Poughkeepsie, NY. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe and efficient surgical services by preparing and maintaining sterile instruments and equipment for hospital use.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.

• Assemble instrument trays and ensure proper storage for surgical and procedural use.

• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, performing routine quality checks.

• Adhere to infection control standards and hospital policies.

• Collaborate with OR and Central Supply staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile items.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of sterile processing experience in a hospital setting.

• Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent preferred.

• Knowledge of sterilization techniques, instrumentation, and infection prevention practices.

Certifications Required:

• BLS (American Heart Association) preferred
