\n\nThe position of School Psychologist supports the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being of students. They assess and address learning and behavioral issues, collaborate with educators, and help to design interventions for a positive school environment. Conducting assessments and advocating for students' mental health are key aspects of this role. Effective communication and a deep understanding of psychological principles are essential.
\n\nBenefits/Compensation:
\n\nEducation/License/Certification:\nMasters Degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution of higher education.\nCurrent Active State License to practice School Psychology in Alaska.
\n\nExperience/Requirements:\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nSelf-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.\nAbility to work under pressure.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality of data and information.\nKnowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.\nExcellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.\nResponsive to requests.\nReliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
