Experience with curosurf administration. Ability to assist with umbilical line placement. Skilled in stabilization of preterm or term infants. Description: This position involves caring for infants in a Level 2 NICU special care nursery. The unit has a total of 6 beds with a patient ratio of 1:3. Minimum staffing includes 2 Labor and Delivery nurses and 1 NICU nurse on duty 24/7. Necessary equipment includes ventilators, bubble CPAP, Airvo, Giraffe, and Panda Warmers. Documentation is done using Centricity Perinatal and Meditech. Scheduling requires night shifts with varying weekends. Floating policies apply as necessary. Staff will perform procedures such as circumcision. The unit has received recognition for excellence, including a Unit of Distinction award in 2021 and the INspire award for four consecutive years. The department has been recognized as an Anthem Maternity Care Distinction Center and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
