Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 08/25/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM) Job Overview: The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for delivering patient care through a comprehensive Respiratory Care process which includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient outcomes. This role involves collaborating with various professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings. - Develop and implement individualized care plans based on clinical assessments. - Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions according to established protocols. - Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to therapy and make necessary adjustments. - Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care. - Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. - Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management. Experience Requirements: - Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred. Certifications Required: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Active Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). - Active Respiratory Care licensure from the New Jersey Board of Respiratory Care. General Information: - Contract Length: Varies - Holiday Requirement: 1 per contract - Reusable Time Off (RTO): No more than 3 days allowed - Weekend/Schedule: Every other weekend or as needed First Day Instructions/Orientation: - Completion of the full orientation is mandatory; failure to do so may result in immediate termination. - Candidates will receive an email before the start date with information for a Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream Module. - All assigned modules must be completed by the first day of orientation to remain on the list. - In-person class schedules will be provided, with locations available through HealthStream.
