Job Title: Respiratory Therapist – Traveler Location: Grand Junction, Colorado Job Type: Contract / Traveler Shift: Nights, including weekends

Position Summary: Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a traveler/contract assignment. The ideal candidate will be a licensed RT who can adapt quickly, deliver high-quality care, and is comfortable working night shifts and weekends as part of a rotating schedule.

• Administer respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment such as ventilators, oxygen therapy devices, and aerosol generators.
• Assess patient response to therapy and make appropriate recommendations to the care team.
• Document all patient interactions, therapy procedures, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation.
• Respond to emergency situations, including Code Blue and Rapid Response Team calls.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Provide patient and family education related to respiratory care and equipment use.
