Position Summary: Clinch Valley Medical Center is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment during overnight hours. This role involves delivering respiratory care and therapeutic services to patients of all ages in an acute care hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and therapies, including oxygen delivery, nebulization, and chest physiotherapy
• Perform ventilator management and monitor patients on mechanical support systems
• Respond to emergency situations involving respiratory distress and initiate appropriate interventions
• Conduct diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function tests
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory care equipment
• Accurately document therapy sessions, patient assessments, and clinical observations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate effective respiratory care
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols in alignment with hospital policies

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia or eligible for compact licensing
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience in acute care respiratory therapy
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency in ventilator and airway management in adult and pediatric patient populations
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
