Travel Registered Dietitian – Newport News, VA13-Week Contract | Day Shift | 5x8s

HumanEdge Health is actively hiring an experienced Registered Dietitian for a 13-week travel assignment in Newport News, Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive clinical team and provide critical nutritional care in an acute setting.

Position Highlights:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)

• Complete initial nutrition assessments and follow-up evaluations

• Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition plans in collaboration with pharmacy and physicians

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, including wound care and vent weaning teams

• Educate patients, families, and clinical staff on diet, supplementation, and therapeutic nutrition

• Conduct tray audits, menu planning, and ensure food service compliance with care plans

• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and quality assurance efforts

• Maintain detailed documentation and patient records in compliance with facility standards

Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and VA licensure (or eligibility)

• Experience in acute or long-term acute care settings preferred

• Strong clinical skills in medical nutrition therapy, critical care, and enteral/parenteral nutrition

• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

• Ability to work full-time, (5x8s), day shift
