Registered Dietitian:Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care.Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences.Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. Records food and drug interactions in the education section.Requirements:For Post-Acute locations, requirements New York State Certification, issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a “Dietitian-Nutritionist” For Acute locations: Registration by the Commissions on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian.Primary Source Verification - RequiredGraduate from accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and NutritionAHA BLS - preferred Master's degree - preferred
