Under the direction of the Medical Director, Section Head, manager, and Radiologist, you will perform technical imaging procedures and assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients. As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will utilize your specific modality to create diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities: - Perform technical procedures to create diagnostic images under the guidance of Medical Directors and Radiologists. - Assist in the clinical evaluation and care of patients, ensuring a safe and positive experience. - Enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations. - Maintain and demonstrate competent imaging skills in the assigned modality. - Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, as well as standards set by New York State and accrediting agencies. - Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills in imaging technology to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications: - Associate degree in Applied Science - required. - Diploma in X-Ray - required. - Graduation from an approved professional academic imaging program - required. - Previous experience in the field is preferred but not mandatory. - ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered - required upon hire. - New York State registration or possession of a limited permit to practice in the State of New York - required upon hire. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - required upon hire. - Ability to provide patient care appropriate to the age and special characteristics of the patient. Additional Information: - No on-call responsibilities. - Position creation due to Contractor Replacement. - Guaranteed hours are based on a contract of 91 weeks.
