Fridays 8-330. 8 hour days/ and shifts per week Description: Unit : Oncology Radiation Therapy | Oncology Radiation Therapist*Certifications: BLS. ARRT certification, and a State License for IL RT. General Certification Requirements: BLS- Other specialty certification requirements: ARRT certification, and a State License for IL RT.- How many scanners/rooms: 1 Linear Accelerator- (Elekta), 1 CT for planning (Phillips).- Will they have to float/cover any other areas: Simulations go along with the duties, staff are part of CT planning.- Common types of imaging/studies: IMRT, SBRT, variety of cancer scans, breast, prostate and lung, head and neck etc.- Experience: 1 year of linear accelerator for cancer patients. Highly preferred to have Simulation experience.- Average of scans/studies per day: 15-25- EMR: Mosaiq, and Pinnacle for planning (do not need to be as familiar with Pinnacle).- Department Specific Equipment: CT: Phillips, Linear Accelerator: Elekta. - Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Risa Tyler manager available as a resource. No set lead.- Do they use RRA's: No- Radiologist in-house: Radiologist is in house during the day.- Do they have to start IV's: Radiation RN starts IVs. Knowledge on how to do/ set the tattoos or willingness to learn.- Shifts & Scheduling: 0800-1630/1700, Monday through Friday.
