Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated PACU Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a combined Phase I and Phase II recovery unit. The PACU unit specializes in managing patients post-surgery, primarily focusing on general, orthopedic, plastics, urology, and gynecological surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Provide care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Utilize monitoring systems such as Phillips Monitoring System and the Aldrete Post-Anesthesia Scoring.
• Administer moderate sedation and recover patients receiving monitored anesthesia care (MAC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ACLS and PALS certifications are required.
• Nursing license in good standing.
• Ability to adhere to RN-to-patient ratios as per ASPAN/AORN guidelines.
• Familiarity with patient care support staff including techs and aides.
