Position Summary: Salina Regional Health Center is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in its Acute Rehabilitation Unit. The role focuses on delivering patient-centered therapeutic care aimed at improving independence, functionality, and quality of life for patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' functional deficits
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing self-care, mobility, cognitive function, and adaptive skills
- Facilitate therapeutic interventions using evidence-based techniques and assistive devices
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff to support integrated care planning
- Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and facility standards
- Participate in care team meetings and contribute to discharge planning
- Maintain a safe treatment environment and uphold rehabilitation protocols
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Kansas or compact license eligibility
- Minimum of 1-2 years clinical experience, preferably in an inpatient or acute rehab setting
- BLS certification required
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently within a team-based model
