Physical Therapist I

Location:10 Union Square East, New York NY 10003Shift: 8:00am - 4:15pm M-F

Job Summary:Physical Therapist providing examinations and treatment to a diverse patient population across inpatient, outpatient, and acute care settings. Works under the supervision of the Therapy or Professional Practice Manager as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Duties:

• Conducts evaluations, sets goals, plans, and implements therapy; adjusts as needed.
• Completes documentation (initial, progress, monthly, discharge) in a timely manner.
• Educates families, caregivers, and medical staff.
• Recommends and documents durable medical equipment needs.
• Participates in discharge planning and provides home exercise programs.
• Attends meetings, clinics, rounds, and in-services.
• Assumes additional caseloads as needed.
• Maintains attendance records, charges, and statistics.
• Supervises aides, students, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• NY State PT license
• 2 years of experience required
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
