Inpatient Pharmacist – 26-Week Contract - Whittier, CA

We're hiring two experienced Inpatient Pharmacists to join the dedicated team at hospital setting in Whittier, CA for a 26-week contract! This is a great opportunity to bring your hospital pharmacy skills to a high-impact setting ideal for seasoned pharmacists seeking a new challenge or first-time travelers ready to grow.

Position Overview

• Role: Inpatient Pharmacist (Night Shift)
• Setting: Hospital
• Location: Whittier, CA
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• Shift: 4x10s (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM), 7-on/7-off schedule starting Thursdays
• Holiday/Weekend Coverage: Required if within scheduled 7-day rotation

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Active California Pharmacist License
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• PharmD degree
• Familiarity with Allscripts charting system
• Comfortable in acute care hospital environments

Required Skills & Competencies

• Inpatient/acute care pharmacy
• Clinical and therapeutic drug monitoring
• IV preparation, compounding, push medications
• Antibiotics, anticoagulants, warfarin, pain-controlled analgesia
• Pediatric, geriatric, renal, and cardiac dosing
• Pharmacokinetics, psychotherapeutic management
• Sterile technique and medication carousel systems
• Code response experience
