Job Description Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric RN for a travel contract job in Upstate New York near the Canadian border. This 24-week assignment is in an inpatient behavioral health setting and offers 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate has strong psychiatric nursing experience, excels in de-escalation techniques, and is comfortable working independently on overnight shifts. Specific shift hours will be discussed during the interview. Job Details Location: Upstate New York near the Canadian border Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Unit Discipline: Registered Nurse Psychiatric Shift: 3x12s | Night Shift | Specific hours discussed during interview Weekly Hours: 36 Contract Length: 24 weeks, with possibility of extension Responsibilities Provide nursing care for patients with mental health conditions in an inpatient setting Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and manage behavioral crises Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Maintain accurate charting and uphold safety and therapeutic standards Qualifications Required: New York State RN license, or willingness to obtain Certifications: BLS or ACLS (AHA) Experience: Minimum 2 years of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing Preferred: Inpatient psychiatric experience or experience in high-acuity mental health units Why Travel with Sunbelt?
