Therapy staff services the entire facility. The facility features a 28-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility and an acute care hospital with an average census of 240. There are 15 staff members in the therapy department, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff. The unit is staffed to support patient care needs during the day shift, with no night shift available. Patient ratios are 4 patients per day in the IRF and 8-12 patients per day in acute care. Equipment includes two therapy gyms and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) apartment. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates with hospital or IRF experience, particularly in stroke/neuro settings, are preferred. Typical procedures on the unit include evaluations, treatments, discharges, team conferences, family training, and the use of adaptive devices and equipment. The ideal candidate is flexible, a team player, and collaborative. A minimum of one weekend shift per month is required, with preferred increased weekend flexibility. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with facility employees.
