Schedule

The shifts are from 6:30 AM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM, working four days a week for a total of 36 hours. This position also requires being on call, with a response time of one hour.

Job Description

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN) will apply nursing knowledge and technical skills in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families. The Endo RN will assess patient needs, develop a care plan in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provide direct care, and evaluate patient progress throughout their care episode.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and data analysis.
• Develop individualized, culturally relevant care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Provide direct care and emotional support, promoting a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on self-care and lifestyle changes to support health and recovery post-hospitalization.
• Monitor and adjust care plans based on patient responses and reassess needs.
• Engage in quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice and care delivery.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention strategies and other safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS RN Licensure
• One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Endoscopy Environment
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
