Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Radiology Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN - Radiology Location: 451 Clarkson Avenue, Kings County Hospital Brooklyn New York 11203 Shift : Mon-Fri 8-430pm (No Weekends) Description: Duties: Job Summary: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Job Responsibilities: -Serving as a liaison between the patient and the medical team. -Preparing patients for a procedure. -Starting intravenous fluids to inject special dyes or contrast mediums into patients. -Administering barium enemas or solutions before procedures. -Monitoring a patient's vital signs or their status during procedures to identify changes. -Identifying unexpected reactions in patients during procedures. -Administering analgesia and sedating patients upon instruction. -Updating the medical staff on a patient's status. -Reassessing patients after procedures. Skills: Required Skills & Experience: -Minimum two (2) years Med/Surg Radiology experience in a large acute care hospital setting. The most recent experience should be within the past year. Qualified candidates demonstrate proficiency with skills including: -Physical assessment. -Medication administration. -Wound care & Infection control. -IV therapy. -Post-operative care. -Patient education. -Telemetry monitoring. Preferred Skills & Experience: -EPIC EMR experience. Education: Required Education: -Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute. -Self-Assessment Skills Checklist and Specialty Exam for Med/Surg. Preferred Education: -N/A Required Certifications & Licensure: -New York State RN License & Primary Source Verification. -AHA BLS. -AHA ACLS.
