Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of risk management experience in a healthcare/hospital setting; experience in psychiatric or substance abuse facilities strongly preferred.
• Clinical background as an RN, PA, or MD preferred.
• Proficiency in handling Justice Center and state agency investigations, including:
  • Root Cause Analysis under NYS Department of Health (DOH)
  • Investigations of Allegations of Abuse and Significant Incident cases
• Experience in:
  • Justice Center reporting
  • Interacting with regulatory and oversight agencies
• Proven ability to:
  • Lead or chair special committees
  • Write and distribute professional meeting minutes
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with clinical, medical, and administrative leadership at all levels

The Risk Management Coordinator supports the Director of Risk Management in implementing and coordinating the hospital's Risk Management and Claims Program. This role involves conducting and overseeing investigations, ensuring their integrity, and facilitating their timely completion by hospital administrators.
