Jackson Nurse Professionals is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine.
Job Description & Requirements** Maine Residents Must reside outside of a 50 mile radius**PREVIOUS EMPLOYEES NOT ACCEPTEDTravelers with hits on background/license will not be accepted. Do NOT submitMust be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/DetoxThe Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care. In this role, the RN will be responsible for working alongside an interdisciplinary team to provide day-to-day care of children and adolescents, ages 6-18, on an inpatient Adolescent behavioral unit. The primary diagnosis' that are treated are major depression and ADD/ADHD. He/She will be responsible for medication administration and education, daily documentation of patient care and managing/monitoring behaviors throughout the unit. Additionally, the RN will participate in and lead education groups.Experience:• 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with adults preferred• At least 1 year previous nursing experience required• CPI TrainedOther Skills Required:• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills• Communication on a variety of levels: Patient, families, providers, coworkers• Ability to in (at time) stressful situations and manage stress appropriately• Ability to set strong professional boundaries• Dedicated team player• Self-directed, able to stay busy in down time
