Position Summary: Triangle Springs is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel contract in Raleigh, NC. This role involves providing compassionate and effective care to patients in a behavioral health setting during night shifts. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a calm demeanor, and a commitment to supporting mental health recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility protocols
- Respond to crisis situations and de-escalate behavioral incidents as needed
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and coping strategies
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Minimum of 1 year of recent psychiatric nursing experience preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities during overnight shifts
