Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

• Complete a comprehensive nursing assessment within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings and patient/family input.
• Identify teaching needs and set educational goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care needs and recovery goals.
• Use a positive, encouraging approach to achieve patient goals and quality outcomes.
• Share patient status updates during Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
• Communicate pertinent patient changes to physicians, charge nurses, and team members.
• Seek senior staff consultation for complex clinical decisions.
• Begin discharge planning on admission day.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge with appropriate education and resources
• Monitor and request necessary supplies and equipment repairs.
• Deliver cost-effective care without compromising quality.
• Participate in team-building activities to maintain a positive work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

License: Current RN license in the practicing state.Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
