Patients are received from various areas, including the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. The patient population consists of adult, acute care patients who require specialized care. All patients have continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. Care is provided for patients needing airway management, acute BIPAP support, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated medicated IV infusions. Patient care services vary widely depending on individual specific needs. The team adapts quickly, is vigilant, and provides compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach. Candidates must possess strong skills in managing dysrhythmias, blood product administration, and line care management. Experience with cardiac drips, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions is required. Floating to other areas may be necessary. A background check may be required on a case-by-case basis. Return staff must have a minimum gap of one year before reapplying.
