We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join Mount Sinai Brooklyn on a travel contract. This role covers a staff nurse currently on maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, evidence-based post-anesthesia care to adult patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on patient care plans.
• Prioritize patient education, discharge planning, and family support.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC.
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.
• Support Mount Sinai's Relationship Centered Care model through purposeful rounding, patient education, and service recovery when needed.

Unit Details:

• Average census: 6
• 6 beds in unit
• Staffing ratio: 1:1–2
• Experience recovering intubated patients post-surgery required

• Active NY State RN License
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years RN experience (PACU/Post-Op management preferred)
• 1 year travel experience preferred (not required for per diem)
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (Associate degree accepted with relevant experience or BSN enrollment)

• Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Days per Week: 5
• Hours per Day: 7.5
• On-call: Not required
