Position Overview:

MVHS Inc. is seeking highly experienced Operating Room RNs for day shifts at their modern surgical facility. Candidates must have recent experience in a wide range of surgical specialties and be comfortable with trauma and neuro cases. Floating within the system and on-call participation is required.

Local candidates are accepted at a different rate.

Certifications Required:

• Active NY RN License (must be verified via NURSYS at submission)
• BLS (AHA)
• PALS – Preferred

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Documented travel experience preferred
• Trauma and Neuro surgery experience required
• Must have experience with the following procedures:
  • ENT
  • Ortho
  • Urology
  • General Surgery
  • Neuro
  • Podiatry
  • Plastics
  • Trauma
• EMR: Epic required

Submission Requirements:

• Up-to-date resume reflecting relevant OR experience
• 2 recent OR Charge/Manager RN references
• Matching OR skills checklist
• Valid driver's license (address must match profile demographics)
• NURSYS verification for all active RN licenses
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted with application

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing in multiple specialties
• Knowledge of advanced surgical technology including robotics
• Strong teamwork and communication in a high-acuity OR
• Willingness to float as needed
• Must be comfortable with on-call rotation

  • 10 ORs
  • 2 robotic suites
• Common Procedures: ENT, ortho, urology, general surgery, neuro, podiatry, plastics, trauma
• Scrub Color: Scrubs provided by facility
• Floating: Yes, within surgical areas
• On-call: Required (details provided at assignment)
• Local Candidates: Accepted (within 75 miles at local rate)
