🏥 Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Assignment

Location: Watertown, NYFacility Size: 168 beds (4 units)Assignment Duration: 13 or 26 weeksStart Date: ASAPShift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour days)Schedule Requirements: Weekends, holidays, and on-call (30-minute response time)Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week or 48 hours/wk availableDistance Requirement: Must reside 60+ miles from facility (radius rule)

• Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Licensure: Active NYS RN license (or eligible for NY licensure)
• Certifications:
  • BLS – Required (or within 3 months of hire)
  • ACLS – Preferred
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical experience preferred
  • OR RN experience preferred; those without recent OR experience must complete and pass the AORN Perioperative 101 Program within 6 months (final exam mandatory for employment)
  • Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred
• Skills:
  • Ability to assess and provide comprehensive patient care (clinical, teaching, mental, spiritual)
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and delegation abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and OR/ASU clinical equipment
  • Ability to interpret lethal dysrhythmias
