Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/18/2025 Duration: 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Genie Healthcare is looking for a RN to work in Operating Room for a 12.29 weeks travel assignment located in Watertown, NY for the Shift (5x8 Days - Please verify shift details with recruiter, 07:00:00-15:00:00, 8.00-5). Pay and benefits packages are estimated based on client bill rate at time the job was posted. These rates are subject to change. Exact pay and benefits vary based on several things, including, but not limited to, guaranteed hours, client changes in bill rate, experience, etc. Benefits: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, 401(k) with company matching (50% up to 6% of what you contribute) OR RN 8hr Day (7a-330p) - weekend, holiday and call required Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current NYS RN license or eligible. Successful completion and passing grade on the final exam is mandatory and a condition of employment as an Operating room RN. BLS required ACLS preferred Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred; preceptorship, charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs. Experienced RN will possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual. Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to move patients in a safe manner. Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required Knowledge in the use of typical clinical equipment instrumentation utilized in providing a safe and/or aseptic environment in and OR/ASU setting.
