- Employment Type: TravelRegistered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) Location: St. Mary's General Hospital - Passaic, NJ Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 15:00-22:00
- Call required-no exceptions Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect perioperative care for patients of all ages (neonates to older adults) using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate patient care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians
- Guide and direct OR techs and other personnel during procedures
- Maintain professional nursing standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-service education
- Support patient flow and maintain unit organization
- Act as a clinical resource for colleagues as needed Requirements:
- Active RN license in New Jersey
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained
- Current ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained
- Current PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained
- Minimum one year of perioperative nursing experience or equivalent on-the-job training
- CNOR certification preferred
- BSN preferred
- Pre-op and Post-op care experience required
