Pay Information $2,542 per week About The Position Job Title: OR Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Full-Time Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in the OR License: Current RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: OR circulator experience Description: We are seeking an OR Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in the operating room. The ideal candidate will have experience circulating various service lines. Key service lines include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, GI, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry. Experience with total joints, trauma, sports medicine, laparoscopic, open procedures, colonoscopies, and cataracts is beneficial. Candidates should have familiarity with specific equipment used in each service line. The OR RN will apply nursing knowledge and skills to deliver compassionate care to patients and families. The RN will assess patient needs and collaboratively develop a plan of care. Direct care will be provided along with evaluating patient progress and coordinating care delivery. Promotion of patient comfort and emotional support in a healing environment is essential. Patient and family education will be instrumental for post-hospitalization care. Effective communication and social perceptiveness will be utilized to address patient and family needs. The RN will advocate for and protect the health, safety, and rights of patients. Mutual trust and cooperation among team members will be encouraged to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The RN will document education provided and assess patient/family understanding. Ongoing evaluation of nursing practice will be conducted to enhance care delivery. A strong emphasis on developing trusting and caring relationships with patients and families is required. Attention to infection prevention strategies is critical to safeguarding public safety. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is anticipated in this role.
