Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia & lymphoma, inpatient setting. License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Certifications: BLS - AHA. Must-Have: ASN. Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients' needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on patients' problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages the care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centered care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
