Pay Information $1,842 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: 2 years of NICU experience License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Level IV NICU experience preferred - Level III NICU experience may be accepted on a case-by-case basis - First-time travelers accepted Description: The NICU RN provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients. This role involves delivering safe and effective care while collaborating with other healthcare team members. The unit provides medical and surgical care to premature and ill neonates. Common diagnoses include prematurity, respiratory distress, and neonatal surgical conditions. Neonatal ICU services include ECMO/CRRT and surgical support. Support for pediatric palliative care is available as needed. All NICU beds are monitored beds to ensure patient safety. Nurses will interact with families and other team members to achieve desired health outcomes. Patient ratios will be 1:2, 1:3, or 1:4, depending on patient acuity. Travelers may be cancelled or called off for one shift per two-week period. All requests for time off must be provided upfront, with approval based on unit needs.
