Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance with all nursing standards of practice and professional development requirements, while promoting a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
• Educate patients and families in health promotion and disease management.
• Administer medications safely and according to policy.
• Ensure effective resource utilization, including staffing, time management, and supplies.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies.
• Participate in unit-based improvement initiatives and peer review.
• Support professional development and mandatory education requirements.
• Integrate current nursing research and evidence into practice.
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Neuro experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Active NY RN license.
• BLS & ACLS certification (AHA).
• Strong collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
