Job Title: Registered Nurse – Mixed Acuity PCU / MS Telemetry Unit (Travel)

Join a dynamic Mixed Acuity Unit caring for Progressive Care (PCU/IMC) and Medical‑Surgical Telemetry patients. Ratios are acuity‑adjusted. Float opportunities exist within sister units (West 2, West 3, Observation).

• Experience:
  • MIN: 1 year RN experience (PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years is required)
  • Accepting first‑time travelers and local candidates living > 50 miles from assignment
• Licensures & Certifications:
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
  • PALS, TCAR (preferred)

• MS/Telemetry & PCU/Step‑down care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
• Post‑MI protocols, IV insulin drips, insulin titration
• Feeding tube & continuous bladder irrigation care
• Renal failure management, port access, blood products
• Central/PICC/peripheral IV placement and care
• Heparin protocols, cardiac drip management (titration‑eligible)
• PCA pumps, thrombolytic agents
• CVA/stroke, seizures, substance withdrawal management
• Ortho trauma care: total joints, traction, peripheral nerve block catheters
• Mastectomy, chest tube management (Emerson/Pleur‑Evac systems)
• Non-invasive airway support (HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP), tracheostomy care, O₂ therapy
• ABG interpretation, wound care including Wound‑Vac
• Strict adherence to isolation precautions
