HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Kingsport, Tennessee.

• Night shift (3x12-hour shifts, 18:30-07:00)
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call required
• Must be willing to float as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year recent MS/Tele experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Active RN license (compact or Tennessee)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Preferred: Epic EMR experience

Patient Care Responsibilities:

• Manage 6-7 adult patients per shift (ortho/neuro/trauma post-op)
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Post-surgical care including:
  • Orthopedic/total joint patients
  • Neuro surgical patients
  • Trauma patients
• Wound care/wound vac management
• Chest tube/PICC line management
• Medication administration (heparin, insulin, PCA)

Unit Details:

• 34-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 1:6 (consistent days/nights/weekends)
• Common diagnoses:
  • Post-operative orthopedic cases
  • Spinal surgeries
  • Trauma recoveries
• Support services available:
  • Physical therapy
  • Respiratory therapy
  • Rapid response team
