Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (MS/Tele)Location: Washington, DC 20032Contract Duration: 8 weeksShift: 12-hour Day Shift (3 shifts per week)

Job Summary: The RN will provide competent, capable, caring, and efficient care to patients in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. This role involves initial and ongoing patient assessments, documentation, and delivering age-appropriate nursing care in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. The RN will work closely with patients, families, and the community to meet their healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients, including review of systems, and document findings timely and accurately.
• Complete admission assessments according to policy and procedures within established timeframes.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
• Assess patients' nursing needs and determine appropriate care plans.
• Demonstrate the ability to interpret patient information to address needs effectively.
• Deliver patient care following best practices and hospital standards.
• Fulfill all regulatory and licensure requirements to provide safe and effective nursing care.

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district (required prior to start).
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program (required).
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience.
• Minimum of 1 year Med Tele Acute Care Inpatient experience (required).
• BSN degree highly desired.
• NIHSS, BLS & ACLS certifications (required).
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system (required).
• Ability to complete a Telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start.
