Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Contract)

Location: New York, NYStart Date: October 27, 2025Contract Length: Through January 24, 2026 (13 weeks)Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend required)

• Total Hourly Pay Rate: $62.90/hr
  • W2 (Taxable): $18.00/hr
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $44.90/hr
• Weekly Gross: $2,264.30 per week (based on 36 hours)
  • W2 (Taxable): $648.00 per week
  • Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,616.30 per week

We're seeking an experienced Med Surg RN to join the 6W Medicine Unit at Mount Sinai St. Luke's. The Clinical Nurse delivers safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population.
• Use critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Maintain documentation according to hospital and regulatory standards.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

• Active NY RN License
• BLS certification (ACLS strongly preferred)
• Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience (telemetry experience required for ED boarders)
• BSN preferred (Associate Degree accepted with relevant experience or active BSN enrollment)
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• 1 year of travel experience preferred (not required for per diem)

• Avg. Census: 22 patients
• 29 Beds, 1:6 staffing ratio
• Must be comfortable floating within specialty
