Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in an acute care setting within the past 6 months License: New York license required in hand Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Proficiency in EPIC - Previous charge experience preferred - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med-Surg Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units. Candidates must have a current New York nursing license. The schedule will be for night shifts, consisting of 4 shifts over a 12-hour period. Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend. Local candidates are not accepted; applicants must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. Candidates cannot have any requests for time off during Labor Day. Proficiency in managing dysrhythmias as well as using rapid response teams is essential. Nurses will be responsible for providing care to adult and geriatric patient populations. The daily census is expected to average around 21 patients. Candidates must be willing to float between departments as needed. Previous experience in a similar acute care environment is strongly preferred. Individuals will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Absence of prior travel experience will disqualify candidates not meeting the specific criteria. Review will be based on case-by-case for background policies.
