Job Title: Staff Nurse – Adult Med Surg Location: Norwich, NY 13815 Shift: 12-hour Days, 36 hours/week

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Adult Medical-Surgical unit. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and a healing environment. You will educate patients and families, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve the best outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a group of patients, acting as primary and/or accountable nurse as assigned.

• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and ongoing care.

• Administer medications safely in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.

• Support efficient use of resources, including staffing, supplies, and time.

• Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in shared governance, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review.

• Promote a supportive learning environment for new staff and students.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Current NY State RN license.

• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).

• Minimum 6 months to 3 years of RN experience; 5 years preferred.

• Strong collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

• Previous acute care or ambulatory nursing experience.

• ACLS and PALS certifications (PALS required for this unit).

• Epic EHR experience.

• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
