Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum two years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. Recent experience should be within the past year. License: Must have a valid RN license. Certifications: AHA BLS required. AHA ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institute. - Self-Assessment Skills Checklist and Specialty Exam for Med/Surg required. Description: Assess and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Provide direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed. Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret measurements. Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications promptly. Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records. Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols. Qualified candidates should demonstrate proficiency in physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, infection control, IV therapy, post-operative care, patient education, and telemetry monitoring. Experience with EMR systems is preferred.
