Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Job Description & RequirementsRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** * * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Department: Med Surg *Certifications: BLS* - Beds: 42 - Ratios: 1:5-6 - How often are staff taking a 1:6 ratio?: At least once a week - Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Medical, surgical, and orthopedics - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes - Any titratable drips?: NO, except Heparin - RT available and what equipment? (has only worked with RT doing all setup): RT is 24 hours on the floor - Tele on the floor at all, central tele (any monitor techs)?: Yes Tele's on the floor, but we have a centralized Tele station. - Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10-12 - Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 - Weekend Requirement: As needed - Holiday Requirement: As needed - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: No - Floating Requirements: PCU or Burn - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?: Navy blue - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: First week is classroom and then 2-12 hour shifts on the floor Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. Updated on: 1/3/2024
