Position Overview: Starr Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse for its OB/GYN Unit on the day shift. This role is crucial in providing high-quality care to patients during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, while supporting the broader needs of women's health.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage the care of patients throughout labor and delivery
• Perform assessments and document maternal and fetal status
• Provide patient and family education related to childbirth and postpartum care
• Administer medications and support pain management protocols
• Assist physicians during labor and surgical procedures such as cesarean sections
• Respond to obstetric emergencies with swift, clinically sound action
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and uphold confidentiality standards
• Coordinate care with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other clinical staff
• Follow all hospital safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

• Valid and active RN license in the state of Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 +years' experience in labor and delivery or OB/GYN nursing preferred
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS certification strongly preferred
• Proficient in fetal monitoring and obstetric assessments
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide comfort during high-stress moments
